Daughn Gibson - Tiffany Lou

It is always hard  to fin inspiration. Something to cling on and let the thread of sense guide the way...
Sometimes everything stops being fragmented when you find the right tune. It is my particular case with Daughn Gibson; his music reminds me of the experiments left for music. I shall listen to Tiffany Lou all day long to remember how sense is created: out of chaos...

Spilling Existence

How does existence spills?

Spilling Existence

Like an unintentional brushstroke: existence was shed all over the universe,
an excess of paint
and now meaningless it spills.
Infront of the appalled eyes of the beholder
He desperately tries to shape the spot
cleaning the caothic traces of the droplets that drain
but he forgets that it will be spilling continously
therefore he's condemned to order eternally

Former Ghosts like to spill existence...

Grizzly Bear - Yet Again

This is a song called 'Yet Again' from Grizzly Bear's new album - out in September.
For me, it's really convincing, I can't wait to hear the rest of the tracks!

Mutemath - Blood Pressure

Brand new Mutemath video recorded on their show in Washington. Must see. I wish I was on one of their great concerts.

It's ROLLING STONES day! To be honest I was never a big fan of them. I know a few songs and really respect their work. I guess I would be a bigger fan if I knew them back in the 60's. Whatever.
Are you a fan? Which is your favorite song from the Stones?

Mutemath - Prytania

My favorite in this summer so far. Party essential.

Mode Moderne - Real Goths

Last year I had to go to the doctor because I couldn´t take out of my head Mode Modern´s song "Real Goths". Even when I was sleeping, like on a vintage film, the background music was Mode Modern´s song... They just had an LP called "Ghost Emerging", which was pretty good in my opinion, and "Real Goths" single. Now I just came up to realize they have a new album, which you can listen on this link: Mode Moderne-Strange Bruises I have listen to three songs so far, and I have to say I´m a little bit dissapointed because I was expecting something, maybe, darker. Anyway, jugde it for yourself, and listen to the song that kept me in observation for several weeks...

Beach House - Irene

Beach House has the right formula to shake all of my affections... melancholia swims underneath my sheets when I listen to this song. I'm sure this is something that happens to everyone who uses music as Its time machine; to the very first moment you looked at your mom and the fuzzy old dreams before bedtime. I shall thank to all sounds and harmony that makes this possible...

The Smiths - Unhappy Birthday

Well this song is for me, I dedicate it to myself because I'm evil and I lie. Let's be honest, who is not evil and hasn´t lie? please answer honestly and don't lie ....

Fragrant World

Good news for those who like Yeasayer and their new single 'Henrietta'. The new Yeasayer album, Fragrant World, is announced to be released in August. You can read more info about the album and tracklist HERE.

The Pierces - Secret (Last.fm Session)

I was thinking about secrets. Personally I can't keep any. It doesn't matter if it's mine or anybody else's. So eventually I don't have any secrets. But still people consider me as a mysterious person, but I really am not. Anyway, enjoy this great acoustic song from the Last.fm studio.

To The End

An insect flew over my head, I could have killed it at anytime, I decided to let it live... this makes me wonder abut life, about the sun, about the universe, do we own it? I don't think we do, we create small spheres of reality; like the one I constructed a long time ago... after a harsh winter, all that was left was this, written in an old piece of paper I could barely read:

TO THE END

as dead as a leaf
I'm hanging from a tree
where's home?
I wonder to myself while a raindrop rolls down my surface
your eye ball rolls down the hill
it stopped just to look at me
now the wind has blown us away
south, where sunny days await

ages have dried all fallen tears
winter time made you colder
but your hands still warm mine
while my skeletal body slowly dies
crows peaking a broken heart
a hollow-eyed of a divine spark
in case we get closer to the edge, I have a levitation plan
to fly all over the seas
far into the end
where nature feels regretful about us
because we streamline nonsense

Yeasayer - Henrietta

Yeasayer's new track is just fantastic. No doubt. I fell in love after the first listen. I hoped they would come to any Hungarian festival, but unfortunately they don't even come to Europe this summer. I'm a bit disappointed about this.

You can download the song from their site (it doesn't work for me) or from HERE.

Barabás Lőrinc Eklektric - Moonrise

Barabás Lőrinc Eklektric is a Hungarian jazz/lounge band always fondle my ears with their smooth tunes. And it's also perfect for today's rainy weather.

Jonti - Nightshift In Waltz (RAJA Rearrangement)

Oh Jonti, who the fuck are you? I have no idea, but this song makes me feel in space...

Miami Night 1984 - Ocean Drive

A band playing 80's synthpop makes me sorry I couldn't be young in the 80's.

You can download the song HERE.

Arohan - Repulsive Gravity

I always find difficult to describe music, I think it describes itself through waves of sound...
"Repulsive Gravity", well this song makes me feel like I'm walking in the night, under the street lights, wondering why I took a walk in the first place?
well my description doesn´t help too much, you better take a first-hand impression of it

Helene Smith - The Pot Can't Talk About The Kettle

I'm in a kinda retro mood on this weekend. I like listening to songs from the 60's. Since I watch Mad Men I'm more and more into this era.

You can download the song HERE.

The Future (It has never existed)

Sometimes I wonder if future is really out there, waiting for us. I have never seen it, do you? who's waiting on the next door? everything expands with millions of possibilities, yet we are the ones who make a choice.
I rather not thinking of the future, cause it has never existed...
I don't really like cats by the way, but that is not important, as the future...

Gold Fields - Moves

Have you heard of Gold Fields? Now you can. It's a video of the Last.fm Session. Quite great opportunity, I guess.

You can check their other song, Treehouse HERE.

Metronomy - Let's Have a Party

I know, it's not a brand new song, actually pretty far from new, but it's perfect for today. At least for me. So enjoy this catchy song!

Somewhere

Sometimes whenever you´re listening to music, strange things configure inside your head...
You try to write down all those disordered ideas and something appears on your page, what people call: poetry...
well this piece of mind I puke last night is dedicated to my good friend Kriszti, I hope she feels better...
well I think she´s the only one who reads this :P...

Somewhere

What sense has sense?
We will constantly construct beatiful castles that will crumble
We will see patterns in the wreckage
I was born and you were born out of the inmense chaos
I can still see you between the powder of stars,
saling between metorites...
concerned about the storm that its approaching,
wondering if your little raft will endure.

As much as we follow the compass to the north,
we are going nowhere...
We mantain the belief that we can orient ourselfs in a vast universe where there´s no up or down.
Now you call me: Error,
because even inside me, you can not find meaning,
only the sensation of an abyss that gets deeper,
and that you are afraid to look at.

You started writting down infinite series of numbers,
continuos chains with enourmous signs,
and still you can not deduct the beginning...
oh strange matemathician!
nothing is written; there are no formulas behind.
The divine language is: coincidence.
Thus, I continued traveling between dreams,
doing long meditations on each disconnection,
Getting lost inside pages with well known letters,
waiting to concide with you at a place, a dream, a date, an event...
somewhere...

Exist

Another bit of poetry, taken from my old memories....

EXIST

im not here
when you blow air into my ears
and the rush of those beatiful sounds that i never hear before
into a peaceful and blank mind
I know you lie somehwere between my dreams and imagination
because If you where real, you would be here
the leaves fall and crash against the grass
making the ground tumble
making me feel so small

the insignificant existence and the significance of life
i cant imagine how was before cos i dont know if present is enough
the cloudy day keeps the sun out of any sight
i can smell your vanished scent mixed with the rain
and it keeps me dry

before the world comes to an end
the qniverse will tell how much it means
and all the fellings and toughts will be scattered across the space
they will become part of the universe
they will be stardust moving into someone else's mind
to reborn like us again
the story will repeat over and over again
like the never-ending side of the circle
like the infinite space and time
cos im not here
i dont exist
i created you
u created me
we are part of the same dream..

Alphaville

In a city where rational arguments and the objective understanding of nature arise... poetry must find a way to scape from this constant nightmate

Astronaut

Astronaut

give ´em eyelids so they can dream on
give ´em stars form which they can fall off
An inifinite universe, to keep the mystery alive
humanity, well, we all need hope

I awoke feeling there was no future
while the railroad made that metal-artificial sound
i dug deep into my mind to find out: I've been here twice
the mirror is not my reflect
it's my memory, telling me the past
the moves, the big smile, now I feel I've been acting all the time
the books i've read
the poems i've write
even the songs of the hummingbird
they're just a fake interpretation...

while the helmet goes on
you feel like an astronaut ready to explore the darkest thoughts
ready to be shutted into the unknown
finally there, nothing makes sense
you see yourself talking to the wind
where have you been all this time?
plucking flowers before they get dried?
others suffering cant be feel but it can be cutted off
people think they've changed
for me they remain the same
it comes again
nothingness is ready to go
it has never existed
did you know that?

Ghost World (2001)

Unfortunately in my country (Hungary) people haven't heard about this movie. It was nominated for Oscar and they don't even know about it. I wish Hungarian people were more interested in culture.

Not just the actors' work  but the soundtrack is great as well.

Taxi Driver

This is a movie you must see, and a song you must listen to (if you haven´t seen the movie, you better don´t watch the video, it might spoil it)

New year, New beginning?

Every new year, many people talk about a new beginning. Why they decide to start over again each year? I mean, rather it should be possible at every moment of life. Reading Ian Curtis "The past is part of my future, the present is out of hand",sure its a deterministic and fatalistic view. Being for-itself seems to be an option for every moment of our lives, not just when it starts a date that was set arbitrarily ...A song to start all over again

Lykke Li - Youth Knows No Pain
